Manish Arora is one of the best fashion designer in India. He launched his own label “Manish Arora” and started retailing in India in 1997. Three years later, he participated in the first ever India Fashion Week in New Delhi and also represented India at the Hong Kong Fashion Week. In 2001 he launched his second label, “Fish Fry”. He achieved an award for the Best Women’s Pret Designer in 2004. The following year in 2005 he participated in the Miami Fashion Week where he was presented with the designer’s choice for best collection Award. Manish Arora is regarded by many as “The John Galliano of India”. He is known for his colorful fashion shows which include rich pallets of psychedelic colors and kitsch motifs in garments that combines traditional Indian crafts like embroidery, applique and beading with western silhouettes. Apart from fashion designing he also has his own jewelry line in association with label Amrapali compromising a range of hand jewelry, neck-piece and pendants.
